IMPORTANT IMAGE SUBMISSION INFORMATION

We prefer to start from a color image, even if your final product will black and white, or sepia
toned. For best results, we recommend you send several photos for us to choose
from. Please indicate your photo preferences and just let us know which one you would like the best.

In order for a digital photo to reproduce well it must be 300 dpi or better (dots per inch).  Please take your photos with the highest resolution that your camera supports, and also save your digital pictures in the highest resolution mode that your camera supports. When you transfer photos and send them to us please make sure they are in JPEG or tiff format. Do not crop or edit in any way. We will do that.

Although low resolution images look good in your computer, usually 72 dpi, they will produce poor quality once they are resized.

If you are scanning the any photos, please scan the photo at 300 dpi.  Most scanners are preset to  default to 150 dpi. You can usually make the changes from the scanner control panel on the screen under the advanced or custom button. Do not crop or edit in any way.  We will do that part. Save your image as a JPG or TIFF format, at the highest resolution possible.

** use a good original which is very important in determining the quality of the final scan.
Photos that are out of focus, dirty or poorly exposed will never look great no matter how
much time is spent retouching them. Please try to keep your scanner free of lint and dust.
A lint free cloth and rubbing alcohol do a great job.
